OUR MISSION
The Counseling Brothers of Atlanta, Inc. is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Atlanta, Georgia. The mission of The Counseling Brothers of Atlanta, Inc. is to bridge the mental health access gap in the Black community by providing culturally competent and affirming mental health services to Black individuals, families, and communities. We strive to promote mental wellness and reduce the stigma surrounding mental health in the Black community. We believe that by providing high-quality, culturally competent mental health services, we can contribute to building a stronger, healthier, and more resilient Black community.
In pursuit of our mission, we strive to:

Increase access to a Black male therapist in Georgia.

Develop culturally responsive training for mental health clinicians and community members to increase cultural competence that (a) eliminates cultural disparities that lead to misdiagnosis, (b) eliminates cultural barriers that cause mistrust and or fear of treatment, and (c) eliminates cultural biases and stereotypes that cause bias in service provision.

Provide ongoing mentorship for Black male master-level counseling students.
